Event Speaker

Gabe Kasper

Gabe Kasper is the Pastor at University Lutheran Chapel on the campus of the University of Michigan. His passion for preaching and teaching have led him to speak at camps, churches, youth events, schools, universities, and yes, even a haunted house convention. In his spare time, Gabe enjoys playing soccer, reading books, listening to punk rock, and cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers. He and his wonderful wife Melissa have two great kids.

Musician

AGAPE*

AGAPE* (Dave Scherer) has inspired hundreds of thousands of people from Brooklyn to Bosnia with his relational ministry “Hip Hop Outreach”. Combining rapping, dancing, storytelling and his fluency in Spanish, AGAPE* connects with his listeners in a way that they really “get it”. He has recorded 10 albums and recently published a book entitled “Agap-ology”. Many young people saw him perform on the main stage of the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston. His ministry was also featured in an ABC documentary about people tackling food insecurity in America. These days you can find him at Luther Seminary where he works part-time as the Christian Public Leader coordinator. He is also a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory.

Quake Director

Amanda used her master’s in non-profit management as Chief Program Officer at Youth Encounter. She planned and managed Quake events for nine years at Youth Encounter and has now transferred over to Life Promotions to continue the ministry of Quake. Amanda works remotely from Living Water Ministries, a church camp in New Era, Michigan where her husband, C.J. is the executive director.
