What “Enough” Means for Youth Today
Posted on May 1, 2025
Today’s students are living under a constant stream of messages telling them they aren’t enough.
Not smart enough.
Not popular enough.
Not talented enough.
Not good enough.
Scrolling through social media, sitting in class, walking the halls — everywhere they turn, they’re bombarded with unrealistic standards and expectations. It’s no wonder so many young people feel like they’re falling short.
That’s why this year’s Quake theme, “Enough” (based on John 3:16), mattered so much.
In a world shouting “be more,” Jesus whispers, “You are loved, just as you are.”
In a culture that demands constant achievement, the Gospel offers rest and freedom.
“Enough” reminds students of these simple, life-changing truths:
- We will never be enough on our own, and we don’t have to be. (Romans 3:23)
- God loved us enough to send Jesus to save us, not because of anything we did, but because of who He is. (John 3:16)
- Through Christ, we are forgiven, valued, and fully equipped for life. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
At Quake, students experienced powerful worship, inspiring speakers, and genuine community, all centered around this message: Jesus is Enough — and in Him, you are too.
When youth realize they don’t have to earn love, approval, or purpose — that they already have those things in Christ — it changes everything. It gives them courage to face their struggles, hope when they feel overwhelmed, and a foundation that holds steady in a shifting world. Enough is a message this generation desperately needs.
Whether you did or did not attend Quake this school year, you are invited to use the Enough Post Event Bible Study with your family or church youth group.
